Then a week or two ago NI updated all Maschine expansions to expansions.
anyway I never registered the second copies, figured one day I would sell them.Īll 3 expansions were in my non registered section. I also had two expansions I had two copies of, probably bought during a special cloud 9.
MASCHINE EXPANSION SERIAL SERIAL NUMBERS
One I had bought two copies of accidentally (clicked the buy button twice or something) and NI refunded me, disabled one of the serial numbers but kept it in my account for whatever reason. I had three maschine expansions that I had issue with recently. Note: It goes without saying that you do this at your own risk.I don't have a work around, but I wonder if it is related to the issue I had.ĭid you ever have perchance ever buy two copies of CSS by mistake and one was refunded or sold?
MASCHINE EXPANSION SERIAL SOFTWARE
Note that for scenario 2 you might transfer the software to a 2nd email account and perhaps transfer it back again? I'm not sure how tolerant NI are to these kind of things. If anyone has an unclaimed e-voucher and is prepared to try it on scenario 1 or 2 and report back then we can confirm or deny it pretty quickly and I'll edit this post accordingly. There was some weird glitch that happened that only affected me and sorry but nobody else will benefit from it. Apparently it doesn't matter if the software was purchased or transferred, it still counts. My NI account received a copy of the Maschine software and I registered a previously unregistered e-Voucher, both within the promo period. Any promo that is active at the time you claim a voucher is the promo you receive. The e-vouchers don't have expiry dates and the expansions giveaway is triggered by this registration. I registered a previously-unregistered e-Voucher. Here are what I think are the three most likely scenarios that happened: So if you haven't yet claimed your e-Voucher, you might find it's suddenly worth a lot more than US$30.
MASCHINE EXPANSION SERIAL LICENSE
It may (or may not) have also been related to the fact that I had only just received my license for the Maschine software (even though it was a transfer not a new purchase). I can't be 100% sure which serial caused the expansions to be given to me, but I strongly suspect it was the e-voucher serial and I was just lucky that the previous owner never bothered to claim it. Immediately I noticed there were seven new Maschine expansion packs in my NI inventory that match those in the current promo they're running! And soon after I got an email confirming this and also confirming the AU$39 e-voucher. That includes the serial on the physical Maschine hardware, Maschine and Komplete Elements software, and (I suspect most importantly) the AU$39 e-voucher for the NI store. So the hardware finally arrived today and I registered all the serial numbers that came with it in Native Access. That went fine and the software appeared in my NI account (although only v1.8).
MASCHINE EXPANSION SERIAL SOFTWARE LICENSE
The previous owner transferred the software license over to me a few days ago using the normal NI transfer procedure.
MASCHINE EXPANSION SERIAL FREE
It was originally purchased in 2013 and only came with v1.8 of the software, so there's no way I should be eligible for NI's current 7 free expansions offer. I recently bought a 2nd hand Maschine Mk2. If you do claim your voucher then please reply to this thread with your results, good or bad. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE THING BEFORE CLAIMING ANYTHING.
